How Do We Calculate Thermal Jumbo Roll Weight?
Firstly, you should understand that GSM (or grammage) is a unit of weight per square meter. Then we can calculate the weight of a jumbo roll by finding its total area in square meters and multiplying that by the weight per square meter.
We can get the total area of a jumbo roll by multiplying its width and length – when you unfold the paper roll, you can think of the paper as a rectangle. The data for width and length can be easily found on the label of each jumbo roll.
Finally, we get the formula to calculate the weight of a thermal jumbo roll:
